The Compounding Lab is a service of Cambria Pharmacy, the Pennsylvania-licensed pharmacy at 2860 N 5th Street. It is not a separate pharmacy. The nonsterile program is being set up to the standards of USP <795>; hazardous drugs wait for a USP <800> containment room now being built.
Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are dispensed. Your prescriber or veterinarian decides whether one is right.
